Online form integrations with Stripe and PayPal streamline healthcare payments
INDIANAPOLIS (October 17, 2018) — Formstack, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company with a mission to empower its users through simple and elegant tools that remove the complexity from everyday business processes, announces users can now combine Stripe and PayPal with Formstack’s online HIPAA forms. This new functionality enhances patient and client payment processes by eliminating manual data entry and uniting disparate systems for data capture and payments.
The integrations improve the patient journey by providing a convenient, secure way for patients to pay for office visits, lab tests and treatments. Connecting Formstack to Stripe or PayPal allows healthcare providers to safely collect ePHI and process online payments on a single form. Stripe and PayPal join Formstack’s suite of HIPAA compliant integrations, which includes Salesforce, WebMerge, Google G Suite and Dropbox.
“The best type of security is the kind you don’t even notice,” said Chris Byers, CEO of Formstack. “Healthcare providers are in the business of helping make patient lives better, not developing and navigating security protocols. By creating a secure and seamless payment workflow, we improve the protection of patient data and reduce the administrative load on doctors, nurses and office managers.”
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act mandates administrative, physical and technical safeguards to ensure the integrity of protected health information (PHI). Formstack maintains compliance through data encryption, access controls, auditing and access logging, and it is continually monitored by a dedicated security team.
This announcement follows Formstack’s release of a paperless healthcare kit, which is a resource package aimed at educating healthcare professionals on the benefits of digital workflows.
